PRILADOZHSKIY Health and Recreation Resort is located in a 4-storey building, it consists of three pavilions connected with heated passages and up to 100 rooms for indoor patients. The facade of the resort building is decorated with noble silver fir-trees, and there are pines and cedars well known for their healing properties at the territory adjacent to the resort, in summer time, lime trees are in blossom with sweet smelling and majestic chestnut trees give a pleasant shadow. The flowerbeds were done by the caring resort staff.

Green environment adds to the treatment of our patients inviting to check the worries at the door, to immerse themselves in health improvement and relaxation.

The history of Syassky Rabochiy (Syassky Worker) newspaper began even before the start of Syassky PPM which was held on November 3, 1928. In the first issue of Syassky Tsellyuloznik newspaper dated November 30, 1928, it was written: “As early as December 1925 on the initiative of the construction workers the foundation of the organization of work correspondents was laid, marked by the release of the first issue of Syassky Stroitel wall newspaper. In 1926, six issues were released, and in 1928 – 21 issues. Over two dozens of work correspondents worked with them”. In addition to the printed and staged publications such as Syassky Revizor, Bagdadskiy Vor, Zhivaya Gazeta newspaper came into existence in the early 1930s. According to the materials of Zhivaya Gazeta newspaper, the scenes and performances, sometimes right at the gates of the Mill, making fun of truants, hard drinkers and idlers were shown. Then Syassky Tsellyuloznik was renamed to Stalinetz, and at the end of fifties the newspaper was renamed as Syassky Rabochiy. As the years passed, times changed, the form of printing editions changed: “flat-bed printing” was changed into computer technologies. Our readers always got the newspaper, even in war time and in difficult 1990s.

The founder of Syassky Rabochiy newspaper is Syassky PPM JSC.
The newspaper is registered in the North-West Regional Office of the State Press Committee of the Russian Federation (Saint Petersburg).

Museum of Syassky PPM Development History

The Museum was founded on the initiative of the veterans of war and labor in 1969 and on June 5, 1970, received its first visitors in the hall of the permanent exposition located in the Sanitary Products Department of the Mill. For half a century, the Museum collection has been constantly enriched and today its collection consists of hundreds of items and covers historical periods in one way or other associated with the life of the Mill.

In the Museum you can have a look at old documents and photos, exhibits of the World War II, the everyday objects of the workers and employees. The exposition includes more than one hundred kinds of products manufactured by Syassky PPM over the years.

The sculptural arts are presented with the works of the local resident V.A. Maslov (1903-1981). The sculptor embodied in his works many prominent people of his time including the residents of our city.

The Museum offers tours for different audiences. The head of the Museum is Tatyana Sergeyevna Petrova. She tells about the interesting and informative history of the Mill since the beginning of its construction to the present days, tells about famous residents of our city. “We are visited by the residents from six-year-old children to veterans of war and labor”, she says.
